MAINTENANCE PLANNER III

Job Requirements/Responsibilities:

This position is primarily responsible for providing detailed electrical maintenance planning in a fully integrated container board mill. The planning responsibilities include building job plans, parts identification and acquisitioning, cost and resource estimating, contractor management, job closure, and building/updating equipment BOM's.

The maintenance planner role may be asked to support areas across the facility and be required to direct maintenance crews and contractors. Maintenance plans will be developed utilizing Microsoft Project software and Indus Passport CMMS. Extensive communications with craftspeople, production employees, purchasing and stores, and materials suppliers will occur daily.

The Planner is expected to self-manage his job to most effectively support ongoing reliable mill operations. The selected individual must support and promote safety by being in compliance with all safety standards and codes.Safe work execution will be promoted through development of detailed Job Hazard Analysis documentation and compliance with all Georgia-Pacific permitting and procedures.

Education:

High school diploma required. Preference given to candidates completing post secondary work in engineering or other core related discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

10+ years heavy industrial construction or maintenance experience with rotating equipment, pumping systems, control systems, complex drives, PLC's and medium voltage power distribution systems. Previous maintenance planning and supervisory experience preferred.A working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems and equipment preferred.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:

Must be familiar with and have working knowledge and use of National Electrical Codes and OSHA guidelines Must have strong skills and knowledge of PLC's, control valves, motor controllers, pneumatics, and drive systems Must have an understanding of and the ability to apply best practices for maintenance planning, parts management, and building job history Working knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance concepts

Knowledge of PC's including Microsoft software and electrical programming software. Effective oral and written communications skills that support teamwork and the ability to influence others The Maintenance Planner must be diligently organized, self-disciplined and willing to work unselfishly for the team. The Planner must be committed to creating an environment that is safe and presents no hazards to their colleagues or crew.
