Optimizer/Maintenance Gatekeeper will manage and prioritize daily maintenance activities in order to improve the safety and reliability of our equipment. This position will serve as a liaison between the production and maintenance operations to develop and adhere to the maintenance budget by prioritizing routine and non-routine maintenance activities in order to meet our financial goals. This position will manage work orders for the Utilities area to insure that all work adds value and will also assist operators with diagnosis of problems and provide troubleshooting assistance for operations and maintenance. Meets regularly with other operations key personnel and outline path forward on risk and issues.
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, ChE or Pulp & Paper Science preferred
BS Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial pulp and paper manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership skills, meeting facilitation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization. Strong business savvy with an understanding of preventative maintenance activities.
