SR STAFF/PROJECT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

Description:

Responsibilities:
Provides advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement capital projects by developing scope, estimating costs, designing, constructing, purchasing, and installing and/or modifying existing equipment.
Supports operations and maintenance in solving recurring issues and supports maintenance on scheduled and unscheduled outages.
Manages project costs and time line while providing greatest value to the facility. Ensures all activities conform to the MBM Guiding principles.
Perform electrical engineering support consistent with GP design standards, and insure National Electric Code compliance for all assigned projects.
Provide accurate scope development and estimating as part of the overall project justification process. Complete projects successfully and deliver expected results.
Provide a safe work environment for contractors during construction and for operations after the project is complete.
Develop and issue required drawings including as-built drawings. Design low cost solutions to achieve improved results from existing equipment.
Coordinate multiple projects/assignments at the same time. Properly size motor starters, equipment and material as required.

Education:
B.S. Electrical Engineering

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience with electrical project engineering work.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
Proficient in programming Allen Bradley PLC 2,3,5 RsLogix, device net etc. and visual basic.
Designing drawings in AutoCAD. Effective Communicator. Capable of managing workload to meet project schedules.

Planning and Prioritizing:
Tracking and controlling project cost.
Delivering accurate and complete electrical design engineering packages.
