PROCESS ENGINEERING LEADER

Provides direction and oversight for plant wide process engineering group at a large mill.
Position reports to Engineering Manager.
Position manages process engineers, and interprets and applies policy.
Has responsibility for leading and guiding engineers to support production departments with process engineering to sustain operations.
Provides advanced chemical engineering expertise to solve problems and implement solutions.
Supports operations and maintenance in solving recurring issues, and supports operations on scheduled and unscheduledoutages.
Manages process assignments and time line while providing greatest value to the facility.
Encourages vision planning for long term improvements and sustainability of mill processes.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required.
This position requires a ChemicalEngineering Bachelor's Degree and 7 years or more of engineering process related experience.
A solid working knowledge is required in Pulp & Paper process chemistry, process engineering scoping, and manufacturing process operations.
Will need to be able to interact with operations, maintenance, project and process control engineers.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
Must have an advanced level of knowledgewhich is needed in process engineering.
A solid working knowledge is required in process control, applications software usage, pulp manufacturing operation, statistical process control, customer support and service, paper knowledge, chemistry, lab testing and statistical analysis.
Must have strong trouble shooting skills and analytical capabilities.
Requires oral and written communication skills.
Must have paper process equipment knowledge including containerboard unbleached kraft paper, pulping and utilities process experience.
Must have management/people skills. Must demonstrate ability to trouble shoot process problems.
